The challenge

Direct oversight of the student union's financial management and accounting operations. Responsibilities included developing and tracking the annual budget, managing daily cash flow, securing institutional grants and commercial sponsorships, and overseeing financial operations for campus events.

What I did

  1. Budget & Accounting: Formulated the annual budget, conducted treasury monitoring, and prepared financial reports.
  2. Grant & Sponsorship Acquisition: Prepared institutional funding proposals and secured corporate partnerships.
  3. Financial Operations: Handled transaction logistics, ticketing systems, reimbursements, and vendor invoicing for events.
